Antonio Park’s original japanese and sushi restaurant Park has long been a favourite in the neighbourhood of Westmount and has been the foundation for the chef’s success in his Montreal and Toronto restaurants. Hailing as one of the only restaurants on the bustling street of Victoria in the heart of Westmount, Park has held a captive audience since its debut in 2012.
With it’s selection of A5 Wagyu, Kobe & Oh-Toro options, it’s no wonder it’s become a favourite amongst those looking for more than just sushi.

Park has two menu’s, a lunch menu and a dinner menu.
The Lunch menu is an abbreviated version of the Dinner menu and offers patrons and single-diners the chance to eat at a reduced rate to the dinner prices. The menu has both fish and beef options and has the most amazing shrimp tempura ever. No, for real. The one dish I recommend all the time, every time to anyone I speak to about Park is the shrimp tempura. It is the best in the city. There are tasty offerings on the menu at Park, but each come with a price tag that will add your bill up fast. For an à la carte treat, the shrimp tempura, for example, is an absolute standout and worth (to my mind) the 7$ price per unit. It sure ain’t cheap though. Order a couple of those and boys, get the nigiri lunch special and enjoy some sake for a sushi lunch that will cost you, but is still less expensive than dinner.

Is it my favourite sushi restaurant in Montreal? No.
Why? Because to my mind Park has relied on a customer base that isn’t putting pressure for new and innovative. For the price of dinner, there are more creative and delicious options to my mind that will fill you up without totally breaking your restaurant budget. And for the same cost, you can definitely get more creative which at the very least is giving you more to experience for the cost. To my mind, if Park wasn’t in Westmount it wouldn’t stand a chance. Because it’s a smaller demographic that will spend $45+ on an 8 piece roll maki.
