Delicious Montreal pizza
I love a good pizza.
When a crust and dough is made to perfection, when the sauce is just right, when the toppings are simple and scrumptious…simply scrumptious.
And the spicy oil. The oil must be served spicy.
Whether it be for a yummy lunch, or a delicious dinner, after trying a number of pizza places in Montreal I feel very qualified in making a short list of the places I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a tasty bite of a Neapolitan-style ‘za.
Pizzeria Magpie @pizzeriamagpie
16 Maguire St, Montreal

This is a true plateau treat. Not only are the staff absolutely fantastic and chill, the ambience is exactly what you would want out of a pizzeria on the plateau. Trendy, but not obnoxious, cool vibes without being pretentious and a je ne sais quoi quality that is so representative of it’s neighbourhood. The menu is simple and stellar and no matter the pizza you order, you can’t go wrong. The dough is thin and soft with the perfect amount of browning on the crust, the toppings are quality ingredients that compliment each other without competing for taste. What’s great too is if you have a concert in the Quartier des Spectacles, this is a restaurant that will get you in and out in time to make your show without the need to travel too far.
Club Social P.S. @coffeepizzawine

For any Montreal-foodie, it can be difficult to find restaurants that are open on a Monday. Industry day/nights are Sunday/Monday and so many a great place closes down for a couple days to give their teams a much deserved couple days of rest. Club Social however is a delight to visit because not only is it open, but it offers such a great vibe for a pizza lunch that is chill, quaint, delicious and lovely. The main restaurant Elena opens for dinner but the back is the little secret lunch garden and a joy to visit. If lunch isn’t your thing, still head to Club Social for a glass of wine. Whether it’s before, during or after your dinner, the bartenders are such a pleasure to spend time with and the wine selection is always stellar.
Make sure to order the Kale Caesar salad to enjoy with your pizza and a glass of orange wine, you shant be disappointed.
Rita @ritarestaurant
3681 Wellington St, Verdun

Tucked in at the beginning of Wellington street is Rita, a little piece of Italy in Montreal. With it’s friendly team, inviting ambience and warm decor, Rita has quickly become a favourite amongst the pizza foodies in the 514. I was taken here by a couple girlfriends for my birthday and was absolutely delighted to discover this gem of a place. Walls are adorned with family photos and the little details of fresh flowers and lit candles give ode to a time when strangers were invited over for dinner but were friends by the end. The pizza is delicious, as is everything on the menu, and they have an excellent bartender who can make a stiff martini, a fresh margarita or offer up a tasty glass of vino. A great vibe, and a great time await you here!
