There is nothing like knowing you are supporting a small Canadian company that is setting a high standard in how they want to do business. I was first introduced to Smith Bowen through instagram and was immediately attracted to their vintage-style cute lingerie sets. Not only did each piece look exactly something Marilyn Monroe or Elizabeth Taylor would have worn frolicking on holiday on the beaches of the Hamptons, but they also looked beyond comfortable.

Made to order in soft cottons with silk detailing and a perfect colour palette for anyone desiring that effortless, vintage-style vibe, these lingerie sets have become a summer & country house fave. Instead of wearing swimsuits all day that can act like a saran wrap for the lady bits, being able to wear a freeing fabric which is completely breathable whilst not clenching onto your body is a rare treat to find in the two-piece department. Another bonus is just how CUTE the little bralette tops are. Pair one with an oversized oxford and linen pant or jeans and the look is complete.

Sustainably made, the design process at Smith Bowen is to work backwards to create a zero impact product by first considering the fabrics they will use and what will eventually happen to them. Every garment made is 100% compostable when it’s life cycle has come to an end and everything is hand crafted locally, reducing a carbon footprint that is so often connected with the making of clothing.
